Provisions of the ACT and Regulations allows for: 1) Registrations and licensing of electrical Installations/overhead lines, switch boards etc. 2) Registration and licensing of : - Competent persons (wireman, charge man, switching engineer etc) - Electrical Contractors - Switch Boards Manufacturer 3) Some rules for installation maintenance & supervision. (This part of the regulations include some code of practice for wirings.) 2. Some Considerations: 1) Ongoing amendments to allow for the proposed omnibus energy commission ACT 2) Proposals include energy efficiency regulations, energy labeling etc. |
